Wir setzen unseren Besuch zu Plätzen und Gebäuden aus der byzantinischen Zeit fort und werden dabei manche sehr interessante und seltene Objekte in Athen und Umgebung entdecken. Und bitte ärgere Dich nicht über die leeren Plätze auf dieser Seite. Sie sind für die Zukunft gedacht. Verfolge den Weg in dieser Karte von Athen. | St. Johann Genauer heisst die Kirche "Agios Jannis an der Säule" aus offensichtlichem Grund! Nur eine kleine Kapelle an der Evripidou Strasse. Es wurde gebaut auf den Ruinen von einem antiken Aesculap Tempel und die Säule stammt aus der Römerzeit. Sie steht gerade mitten im Heiligtum der Kapelle. |

Agios Giannis Actually named "St. John at the column" and the reason is obvious. Just a small chappel in the Evripidou street. It is built on the ruins of an ancient Asklepeios Temple and the column from the roman time stays just in the sanctuary. |
| Agia Dynamis Dieser Name wiederum bedeutet "Heilige Kraft" und diese Kapelle ist integriert im Gebäude des Ministeriums für Kultus und Religion in der Mitropoleos Straße. Sie stammt aus dem 17. Jahrhundert und während der türkischen Besatzungs-Zeit war sie zu Pulver-Fabrik umfunktioniert! |

Agia Dynamis The name does mean "Holy Power" and the church is integrated in the Ministry of Culture and Religion over it in the Mitropoleos Street.! Not just inappropriate as for me! It is from the 17th century and has been used during the turkish occupation times as gun powder factory! |
| Verborgene Kapelle Sie werden niemals diese Kapelle entdecken oder erreichen können, denn sie ist vollkommen von Bauten eingeschlossen. Nur von der hinteren Seite des Hotels "Aphrodite" nahe der Mitropolis kann man auf sie herabblicken! |

A hidden chappel You would never find this small nice chappel, if you didn´t stay at the Hotel Aphrodite near the Mitropolis! It is in a small backyard enclosed all around by other buildings. |
